I moved to Bozman to take over a very busy hotel for Lambert Hotel management this was right after Covid and they were having problems to get and retain a staff.
I was able to restaff the hotel and get it back on course until the ownership could get the property sold.
This hotel was a 146 unit property that was a brand hotel but only did railroad business. We had Union Pacific railroad crews 24 hours a day. We turned the rooms every eight hours.
When I got to the property they were going through a new manager about every three months and was in the proceess of losing the railroad contract.
I was able to bring the property together and stop the loss of the contract by fixing all the problems of the hotel and getting a well trained staff that took care of the workers. This was my first time running a property like this. It was a little like running a dormitory full of grown men and women.
I was contacted by this company because they were having real bad problems with this hotel with drugs, guns, prostitution, theft and staff. They had gone through several managers in a year.
I went in and took over this property and started to solve the problems. Made friends and contacts with the Glendale police and started to do some sting operations to ge rid of the drugs and the prostitution and the other problems the hotel was having.
There was and incident on the 18th of December that caused me to be no longer employeed by this company.

I took over this property when it was at the start of changing over from a Holiday Inn Express to a full service Holiday Inn.
I oversaw the complete remodel of this 164 unit property from the begining to the opening of the property. I was in total charge of the construction, purchasing of the FF&E and the opening of the property. I did the hiring and training of the staff, the setting up of the sales dept. and the training of the staff. I wrote the menus for the restaurant and bar.
My wife bought and sold distressed properties and turned them around and sold them. We bought some properties from the RTC when all of the Savings and Loans went bellie up and the goverment had so many repossed hotels they were the nations inkeeper.
This gave us an opportunity to buy hotels at the right price and work hard and turn them around and resell them for a profit
