Having started as a trainee Sales Engineer with basic responsibility of dealing with piping and flange enquiries, I progressed to working with more established clients and larger value projects. I became the main point of contact for an established overseas client (GE Australia) and assisted all departments of SMS. In February 2016 a new department was created, and I was selected for the ‘Aftersales Initiative’ with the title of Aftersales Engineer. Following the successful improvement of the aftersales business stream, I was then selected to be part of a small team for a new Joint Venture Company called SMS-Eastern. Responsible for maintaining and supporting hose management contracts and the supply of products and Service Technicians for surveying/fitting as well as purchasing of all stock & bespoke equipment for the department.   • Actively source material, negotiate costs (buying and selling) to ensure budgeted orders are met.

  • Hold a strong B2B relationship with industry leading suppliers and consumers.
  • Support the high volume of logistical requirements for shipment, tracking until invoice close-out.
