Was a part time ranch hand riding horses etc in 1998. This taught me the value of an honest days work.
I have been working on being more vocal instead of standing back and letting things that bother me continue.
I am teachable when it comes to new job skills.
For 21 years (1998 to 2019) Did odd jobs consisting of various types of work from landscaping to lawn care. Also did demo work to help with a home renovation.
Also volunteered my time to a local pizzeria (Round Valley Pizza) being a dish washer and busser from 2000 to 2002.
I try to do my best to do my own bicycle repair(s) when I can. It helps me build my confidence, and sometimes I learn new things, or new ways of doing things while doing the repair(s).
There have been times that I took the bike to the shop because I did not have the right tools and/or knowledge.
There a lot of things that I try to do on my own such as minor home repairs such as installing a new light fixture, or replacing a broken light switch or wall outlet. Often times I look at the job, or ask what it is before I say yes or no. There have been when I felt that the job was better suited for someone with more experience than myself. Other times I took the not feeling to confident, but did a better job than I thought I was capable of doing.
