Summary

During my almost four decades of ministry I have received specialized training in Perinatal Loss Counselor Training through RTS Services, Stephen Ministry Lay Ministry Training and Mental Health First Aid Training. Working with grieving individuals and families from all walks of life in has been an especially rewarding part of my ministry. I have served congregations of all sizes, from a single station to as many as four churches at one time. I have also served on the Executive Board of Family Services Inc (Altoona), the Logan Twp Planning Commission and the YMCA Advisory Board (Mansfield PA). Within the denomination I have served on and chaired the Commission on Christian Unity and Interreligious Concerns, as well as District Committee on Ministry (State College and Northern Wilds Districts), the District Superintendency Committee (Northern Wilds) and currently the District Committee on Building and Church Location (Altoona).

Accomplishments

I spearheaded the effort to create the first Interfaith Baccalaureate Service in Carlisle PA. I brought together leaders from the Jewish, Methodist, Lutheran, Jehovah Witness and Quaker communities to provide a celebration for the students of the Carlisle Area School District.
