I have been involved and owned horses for over 30 years, in addition to training, caring for, and preparing them for different equestrian disciplines. I have learned skills outside the classroom involving horses by attending Oklahoma Horseshoeing School to further advance my knowledge of wild animals and have participated in the Bureau of Land Management's Mustang adoption events and Mustang Makeover. I have instructed numerous students of all levels through the years in horsemanship and developing equestrian horseback riding skills for special events including the Princess Pocahontas court that takes place with the annual city wide George Washington's Birthday Celebration grand parade. I am ranch manager of our family owned and operated Sky Soldier Ranch located in the outskirts of Laredo off of Highway 83 North. We have run cattle and horses through our 88 acre property for a number of years and continue to care for the wildlife and land through education and conservation, keeping the traditions and ethical practices of ranching in south Texas alive. Gathering, doctoring, and caring for cattle is a common practice in assisting neighboring ranchers and associates in need of a helping hand.

I have also traveled across the country to recreate historical battles in order to educate and promote the learning of our nation's history. I am a living historian and professional re-enactor that has researched uniforms and weapons of every time period to bring the most authenticity to this hobby and passion. I have been involved closely with the Alamo in San Antonio as a volunteer and docent, in addition to attending historical reenactments across Texas and the United States.
