As a rig welder, I was responsible for laying out measurements for pipe fabrication for the pipeline and facility.

Also, I was responsible for ensuring all NDT was adequate and met all welding procedures.

While these were some of my main focuses, I also had to do other tasks to complete the job at hand, such as operating heavy equipment like forklifts, backhoes, track hoes, skid steers, and manlifts.

Other tasks I had to do were bolting fabrication together, hydro-testing fabrication, installing fabrication, starting equipment back up after fabrication, and ensuring all other changes have been completed.

Another part of my job tasks was ensuring a safe and secure work environment, following all safety standards and policies.

• Set up equipment and welded parts according to welding chart specifications and type.
• Laid out, positioned, aligned and secured parts and assemblies with straightedges, squares and calipers.
• Selected and safely utilized manlifts, forklifts and company trucks to transport materials and equipment.
• Conducted x-ray, hydrostatic and tolerance tests on welded parts to verify weld quality and conformance to specification.
• Welded parts together on metals such as carbon steel, stainless steel and alloys.
• Marked or tagged material with job number, piece marks and other identifying marks.
• Fabricated, assembled, and welded components for industrial rigs according to blueprints and technical specifications.

• While working with TLC, I held a rig welder position that had to be diversified and dedicated to taking care of not only the welding and fabricating, but also other pipeline responsibilities.
• Read blueprints and engineered drawings, along with using precision measuring instruments.
• Use good verbal communication with engineers and inspectors through email and other computer competency.
• Operating equipment to load and unload trucks, and to move materials.
• Following policies and procedures to safely install fabrication, bolt on equipment valves, run push pigs and sizing plates, and fill to scale for hydro pressure testing.

• Working for Loenbro, I was able to learn a lot and gain knowledge of well pads, tank batteries, and equipment.
• Fabricate piping for oil process equipment, and production tanks.
• I am also traveling to different states to weld fabrication for a diesel and gasoline train load-out to a salt cavern holding facility.

• Allocated material and labor resources to promote on-time and under-budget project completion.
• Obtained specifications and directed work for construction crews.
• Provided technical support to welders regarding welding techniques and processes.
• Implemented onsite safety protocols and procedures and properly trained team members on prevention measures.
• Defined and monitored personnel and project schedules to ensure on-time project completion.
• Collaborated with engineers in testing prototypes or finished products for adherence to design specifications.
• Developed welding procedures based on engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Recruited and hired workers, in addition to supervising and monitoring daily performance.
