Benchmarking and Competitive Analyses

  • Responsible for mining data from Nielsen and RootMetrics results, analyzed and presented data to SP/RF engineers for network optimization and design. There are six(6) RootMetrics metros in TriState area and each were tested two times a year.
  • Provided analyses on where and why failures occurred in Nielsen and Root Metrics competitive drives, in real-time and post-drive.
  • Coordinated with different groups (such as System Performance and RF) regarding the ongoing drives in the sub-market to avoid potential degradation of the network during the third-party drives.
  • Managed reports that are used by System Performance in analyzing post-drive failures. Also, responsible for giving guidance to the team about the benchmarking program and what were required to optimize and prevent future failures.
  • Provided insights and research to the team regarding the status of the competition, either from the third-party results or market news.

System Performance:

  • Analyzed system performance metrics to identify bottlenecks and implement optimization strategies.
  • Worked on converting 4G LTE sites to 5G NSA and eventually into 5G-SA, while optimizing performance.
  • Created different RAN parameter audits using Tableau, Python scripting SQL database with data mined from SwitchX, RTT, xLPT, 5GPT and Google Cloud databases.
  • Responsible for maintenance of TriState databases, Actix and MapInfo license server.

Tools:

  • Developed and maintains Tableau dashboards and data visualization tools that are utilized by the SP and RF team in analyzing RootMetrics and Nielsen failures and low throughput areas. Creates reports in Tableau that are submitted to the team for reference and analyses, that eventually leads to RF providing solutions, using Python and SQL Server queries as well extensive use of Mapbox with Tableau maps.
  • Wrote and supports the MapInfo tool that are used by the RF and SP teams in their design exercises
  • Maintains database and spreadsheet that tracks identified solutions.

Accomplishments:

  • Tableau dashboards that audited the integrity of TriState Atoll databases as well as capturing sites with irregular KPI trends.

  • Optimization of inefficient and low-throughput sectors in Northern New Jersey counties; worked with RF/SP engineers in redesigning and optimizing sites by issuing Antenna Modification projects, e.g., RET, RRH UPG, etc.
  • Conducted drive test survey and troubleshooting of several in-building system in NNJ which involved interference location, neighbor updates and antenna relocation.
