Worked Rotating Day/Night 12.5 hour Shifts to provide engineering and technical support to an Operating Department pouring radioactive waste into stainless steel cylinders for permanent disposal at the Department of Energy Nuclear Site, Savannah River Site, Aiken, SC.

• Oversaw Bechtel engineering contractors designing a nuclear facility to mix monosodium nitrate with radioactive nuclear wastes to precipitate actinides for disposal by mixing with molten glass in an electric melter.
• Developed comprehensive technical specifications that clearly outlined design requirements for vendors and manufacturing partners alike.
• Worked with construction personnel to implement the design in the field.

• Provided Mechanical Plant Design for small piping and equipment projects to support the manufacture of pesticides.

• Sold General Contractors software to link their Suppliers to the Contractor.

• Supervised Developed of an extensive Computer Aided Design and Drafting system (CADD) to produce engineering drawings to support plant operations.
• Wrote detailed specifications for procurement of DEC Mini Computers and CADD Graphic Terminals.
• Oversaw transition to distributed systems using UNIX and PC Workstations.
• Supervised CADD and PC engineering and technical personnel to provide support to CADD users.

• Provided Mechanical Design and Project Engineering for pollution control equipment for an existing Industrial waste chemical Incinerator and a NEW incinerator for Texas Eastman Company. This included detailed computer modeling of the flue glass flow and the conceptual design of the major components including detailed equipment specifications for procurement.
• Provided mechanical plant design for plant power plants, Dowtherm Heaters, compressed air systems, river water cooling system, and other plant areas requiring mechanical design support.
• Assisted drafters in developing mechanical designs using drafting tools or computer-assisted design (CAD) or drafting equipment and software.
