Technical Projects

Hangman Game Coding

  • Coded a guessing game (Hangman) using the programming language Java.

Robot Programming

  • Built and programmed robots with the TC Williams FIRST Robotics Team to navigate mazes, pick up and put down objects, and perform dance choreography by using the RobotC programming language.

CAD Design and 3D Printing

  • Designed, 3D printed, and tested multiple prototypes of motor powered devices using software such as AutoDesk Inventor, AutoCAD, and Onshape.

Truss Bridge Construction

  • Constructed truss bridge prototypes to hold over 40 kilograms of weight using balsa wood.

  • Competed in Fortnite tournament against other historically Black colleges/universities resulting in the Tennessee State University team placing 1st.
  • Competed in HBCU Madden Tournament at EA Studios as one of the first women to place in the finals.

Service Learning Leader

  • Created a webpage with a peer to raise money for a rainwater catchment to be built for a secondary school in Kenya.

Youth of the Year Nominee

  • Nominated as Youth of the Year at the Dunbar Alexandria Boys and Girls Club for demonstrating what it looks to be a model club member and showing overall well roundedness.
