Direct patient care experience in the operating room setting of Trauma 2 Hospital. Experience in direct assistance for anesthesiology attendings and CRNAs. Experience in the stocking, preparation, and coordination of anesthesia/airway-related supplies. Experience in the preparation and setup for intravenous fluid lines, blood tubing, transfusions, cell saver training, arterial line and central line setup, single lumen general anesthesia intubation assistance, double lumen thoracotomy intubation assistance, video-assisted intubation, video-assisted bronchoscopy, and assistance in ultrasound-assisted TAP blocks. Experienced in anesthesia machine and module setup, calibration and maintenance of anesthesia gases, troubleshooting and testing, and sterilizing machines. Experience in medication preparation, vial-syringe aspiration, and handling and preparation of anesthesia induction agents, narcotics, and Omnicell/Pixus experience. Direct patient preoxygenation and preinduction experience, application of simple face masks, nasal cannula, and assistance with spinal anesthesia/epidural and/or MAC-related anesthesia procedures. Experience in preoperative patient positioning on the operating room table. Experience in using sterile technique and performing sterile procedures.
Experience in providing coordination and allocation of supplies to all the departments within the facility. Ordering, distributing, and tracking house supply items. Inventory control and management. Regular distribution of house supply items as requested to each nursing unit. Ordering necessary supplies from various vendors, including but not limited to pharmacy/house supply medications such as multivitamins, medication orders, medical machinery, wound care supplies, equipment, tube feeding supplies, etc. Experience in the administration of various products to patients with the supervision of the nurse.
