I am an experienced technician used to working long hours, and used to working in all types of weather. Willing to admit when I don’t know something and always willing to learn new things and not afraid to go after it and get my hands dirty.
Some of the responsibilities I have at my position are, diagnosing and repairing the engine on site wether it be electrical or mechanical. Engines I were responsible for included Deutz Engines, MTU Engines, and Mercedes OFF-HIGHWAY Engines. I also have experience with Generators including brands like Cummins, Kohler, MTU, Caterpillar, Generac, Bluestar, Baldor, and other small brand Gen Sets. Maintaining my company vehicles cleanliness and keeping it up to DOT safety requirements including the crane on my service vehicle making sure cables and motor were properly inspected and greased. Keeping track of my paperwork I had to fill out once jobs were completed.
I was responsible for assembling and diagnosing of manual transmission’s in 18 wheelers. I was also responsible for finding my own parts, keeping track of my inventory in my area. I was also in charge of training new employees in the “Tops” section of the transmission and show them how to build the different style of Tops. Once transmission was built I was also in charge of putting it on the Dyno and testing the transmission checking for proper shifting, any improper noise, or any air leaks. I then was responsible for taking transmission to the painting bay and painting the transmission to company standard.
