As a shift lead, I oversee daily operations and ensure exceptional customer service and communication in a fast-paced environment. I ambitiously lead a team of employees, providing training and encouragement to promote a collaborative and productive workplace. My responsibilities include managing inventory, placing supply orders, and maintaining a clean and efficient workspace that meets health and safety standards. I foster a welcoming environment in a position requiring strong leadership, communication, and multitasking abilities.

During my internship program, I actively participated in studying Lake Erie's coastal wetlands in the Oregon area to monitor and restore local aquatic ecosystems. I collected and analyzed water and sediment samples weekly from over six distinct sites. I developed proficiency in using and calibrating YSI water samplers to monitor the water's pH, phosphorus, and bacteria levels. I also used Microsoft Excel to log and store the data in the lab for future analysis, ensuring both accuracy and reliability. I followed strict laboratory safety protocols, performing tasks such as acid washing and preparing equipment for future sampling trips. By the end of my internship, I completed a report studying the fluctuations in pH and phosphorus levels, deepening my understanding of how nutrients, vegetation, and other abiotic factors led to these changes.
