  • In-depth knowledge of managing and administering Identity and Access Management (IAM), using this feature to create users, groups and assigning roles respectively while giving the permission of the least privilege as strictly needed to carry out designated tasks
  • I have created and used virtual servers (Ec2) in different availability zones to achieve a targeted end goal, like spinning up servers to run different applications, building Apache web servers, virtual load balancers and a LAMP server with robust security policies to maintain reliability and high availability
  • I have been able to create, manage and use S3 bucket for sharing files, videos and other objects as well as hosting a static website from S3, while setting bucket policies to define rules and permissions for the intended users
  • Delete marker has really helped to save a situation that could have had some heavy financial implications on the company because versioning was enabled on the bucket, so we were able to retrieve the unintentionally deleted objects
  • With the server access log feature, I was able monitor and peruse the activities of objects from another bucket created just for logs
  • I have created, configured and managed virtual application servers and Network load balancers, This helped to direct traffics to the application and network servers when the target groups and security rules are specified
  • I referenced the server security group to only get inbound traffics from the Load balancer, this secured the private servers’ Ip addresses from public access
  • With the help of autoscaling group the load balancer was able to scale in and out as configured during high threshold demands on the servers, this made the resources available to the customers seamlessly

Accomplishments

I have been involved in many projects from the planning stage to the deployment and maintenance stage, but one that was really tasking and I was very proud of my team being able to resolve the issues in a record time completion, was one of our clients which 2 of very important micro services had issues with verifying prescriptions, we were able to quickly trace the issue down to the private server not receiving traffic request from the loadbalancer which was as a result of inbound rule misconfigurations with the security group.

I corrected these errors and the services were up and running in record time.
