At VDO I held the position of TOOL ROOM supervisor, where the responsibility is the machine and tool shop and 81 molds.
Regarding the molds, the objective is to have all 81 functional so that production does not have any type of waste of time in runs, this is achieved by having a good performance in their check list, be it preventive or corrective.
Burr repairs are made, adjustments to impact problems in inserts or cavities, manufacture of ejectors for each of its functions and engineering change according to drawings or customer.
I am responsible for (9 employees) (6 technicians) (3 union) and (1 external technician) employees whose responsibility is to work in mold repair, preparations and cover production area (molds with machine problems)
Support is given to production lines with damaged fixtures or manufacturing of parts in general.
I kept the position as TOOL ROOM supervisor, having the responsibility and commitment of the mold repair shop and working under pressure. A good work team was obtained since it had the support and coordination of 6 technicians in different shifts.
There were 110 molds where preventive maintenance was given according to the corresponding shots, flash removal, modifications according to MMTO to be able to assemble the molds in various machines.
Engineering changes according to the client according to their expectations and modifications of the product, for these types of jobs they worked with external suppliers since the company did not have the appropriate equipment to carry them out.
I held the position of mold repair technician and gave engineering support. As manager of the workshop in the 3rd shift, overseeing 3 technicians and 3 mechanics. I work under pressure and make decisions according to the problem of the molds, whether they are working or under repair.

There were 480 automotive molds with a weight of 250kg to 35 tons.
I held the position of Technician in CNC machines, being responsible for molding changes, machine and program adjustment, analysis of the finished product, comparison with specifications and maintenance of the machine.
I developed the position of technician in maintenance of molds, having as responsibility, adjustments, modifications and engineering changes.

Modification of diameters or cavities by means of electro erosion E.D.M.
Manufacture of inserts, pins and parts in general.

There were 130 molds with positions from 250kg to 4,500kg.
