Brief Description of Job Duties
• Report to project manager for all delegated tasks
• Assist production team to manage and ensure on-time delivery of mass spectrometry customer research project
• Fulfill lab operation duties such as purchasing and tracking inventory, receiving and archiving samples, and cleaning and organizing lab
• Work with project manager, lab manager, and technicians on new products and new workflow development, including troubleshooting, products validation, and updating of SOP
• Perform routine LC-MS/MS instrument maintenance
• Perform routine sample analysis and generate reports for customer projects according to SOP

• Experience performing experiments in wet lab
• Proficiency in operating HPLC and mass spectrometers

Brief Description of Job Duties
• Organize and oversee all operations of the inorganics lab department, ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner
• Prepare daily schedule for chemists to support organization of workflow for all departments
• Compile and review reports from all analytical instruments, ensuring accurate and dependable data is generated
• Prepare soil and water samples as backup chemist when necessary
• Maintain ELAP accreditation and prevent possible audit findings by adhering to all ELAP, DoD, and EPA specifications
• Order lab supplies and track inventory to guarantee adequate supplies are always on hand
• Train new hires and develop training materials for ongoing learning and development
• Lead by example in maintaining a safe, clean, and organized lab environment.

• Prepare sections of human tissue for immediate examination using rapid tissue processing and frozen section technique to freeze, cut, mount and stain tissue specimen received from surgery
• Document daily equipment maintenance and temperature checks

Brief Description of Job Duties:
• Conduct laboratory analyses on various grape products using lab equipment such as spectrophotometers, refractometers, and HPLC instruments
• Maintain the cleanliness of the lab environment and all lab equipment, ensuring compliance with FDA regulated Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), lab sanitation, and lab safety procedures
• Record analyses accurately and in a timely manner using both paper and electronic methods such as Microsoft Excel and Word
• Perform pre-operation checks on equipment and follow approved work orders to ensure proper operation and maintenance of lab equipment
• Revise standard operating procedures (SOPs) yearly and ensure adherence to SOPs by all lab staff
• Conduct microbiological tests for coliform and E. coli using agar plates and sterile conditions, following standard protocols

• Knowledge and understanding of laboratory equipment and procedures for chemical and microbiological analyses of food products
• Ability to follow and comply with FDA regulated Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), lab sanitation, and lab safety procedures
