I began working for Robins Pool Service immediately out of high school. This job has provided me with many skills including overall knowledge, time-management, attention to details, friendly customer interactions and most importantly how to effectively satisfy a customer. These skills will be put to use in all aspects in my life as well as career.
In the summer of 2021, Jessica Mcintyre offered me a summer position of an internship at her interior firm. My duties as intern included making sure tiles, fabrics, carpets, paint samples, wallpapers, window and light fixtures and accessories were stocked. I would make calls to various companies to ensure stock was available and if not when it would be available for sale. I attended my first install where I was able to see first-hand the process itself and specific details that play a part in the interior design industry, as well as see customer interaction first-hand. Mentionable aspects would be being apart of company showcasing, picking out different materials and seeing emerging styles in the industry. To add to, seeing different design styles from the various designers at the firm. Overall, my interning experience gave me insight to the interior design business, the process of it all as well as expectations of interior design firms.
