• The Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria and the Bay Area Book Festival launched this essay contest for native middle and high School students to spend one week in a program to compile a response to a given prompt in order to help raise and celebrate Native American youth advocacy, heritage, and writing
• Finished products are then published in an anthology of their work.

• Leadership & career readiness program held once a month
• High School students are taught a variety of leadership and life skills over a span of eight months to develop the knowledge and life skills to help prepare for their lives as adults.

• Served as a summer intern at the Native American Youth Action Team at Sonoma State University
• Participated in group work, leadership, communication, culture engagement, and financial literacy
• This program helps students prepare for college, work, and to find the passion for their careers.

• Native youth were taught by professional actors from the Word for Word theater company based in San Francisco.
