The Job of a Unit Coordinator was to verify patients' insurance, check them in with quality customer service, answer phone calls and schedule appointments. Additionally, Unit Coordinators must have availability during their off time, for when they are needed on-call. During this stent, I also worked as an medical assistant, where I filled the task of taking vital signs, triaging the patient and recording the information in the HPI. Since this was an Urgent care I would switch between MA and UC depending on where I was needed. Additionally, I was on-call for both positions.
