Elijah Garrett

Greetings! My name is Elijah Garrett, and I am thrilled to be considered for the open Music Internship position. I am a music nerd who, for the last five years, has been very passionate about helping people in the arts, especially in the fields of choir, theatre, and band. I participated in our high school band for three and a half years, eventually earning the spot of drum major for marching band my senior year. My senior year also opened up the opportunity to student direct our fall musical, Freaky Friday. Both my junior and senior years I also held the position of choir section leader, overseeing major decisions on the tenor and bass sections and helping direct the entire choir under a substitutes supervision while the head director was away multiple times. I really look forward to the coming college year at Grinnell and hope to work in the beautiful field of music soon!
