  • Analyzed and interpreted policies and developed, revised and implemented procedures.
  • Served as agency liaison on Baltimore Workforce Development Board (BWDB) where I played integral part in draft and submission of Baltimore City's
  • Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA)
  • Local Workforce Plan.
  • Worked closely with Family Investment Center's Associate Director, Deputy Executive Director, One Stop Operator and AJC mandated partners related to workforce policy and compliance. Assisted in reviewing, writing, and facilitation of WIOA-mandated annual American Job Center Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) including Resource Sharing Agreements.
  • Assisted in overseeing of development of City's WIOA State Plan including facilitating crafting and editing of narrative, planning of stakeholder meetings, Workforce Board and other leadership briefings and Plan submission.

  • Monitored and managed contract/budget to ensure compliance with state regulations (COMAR) along with Maryland Food Bank (MFB) policies and procedures, while producing or eliminating budget line items resulting in fiscal effectuation.
  • Provided oversight and managed Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) vendor contract.
  • Instituted and exercised responsibility for program development, which includes creating and implementing customer database which intakes over 1000 BCDSS customers monthly which produces reports concentrating on community development SWOT analysis, and targets emergency assistance needs.
  • Served as direct supervisor for 14 emergency assistance program managers, while providing oversight to include site recruitment and management, site monitoring, reporting, performance audits, staff hires and re-organization of said programs.

  • Served as project lead for developing and implementing Maryland's first Commodity and Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) by partnering with and working alongside United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and Department of Labor (DOL).

Accomplishments

    I currently serve as an officer for two board memberships:

    -Love By the Handles (Treasurer) – LBTH is a non-profit organization that assists women and children experiencing domestic violence. This organization volunteers monthly at a local women's domestic violence shelter.

    -Ryders of Seth MC (Treasurer) – This is a motorcycle chapter located in the DMV (D.C., Maryland & Virginia) area. While riding motorcycles is our passion, we also volunteer at local feeding shelters, donate clothing to men who are trying to return to the workforce as well as mentor young men.
