At AutoZone I was mainly a counterman tasked with selling parts to walk-ins and answering phone calls. I was trained to upsell on parts and goods with every purchase and inform customers of the promotions for the week/month. I would also multitask stocking merchandise 3-4 times a week while also helping customers. I was also a full-time driver for a year delivering parts to shops around town.
My main job at NAPA was being a counterman and would be answering phone calls from shop accounts and walk-ins to help them find the part(s) they needed. I would also manage incoming orders and have them fulfilled such as taking in 5-10 shop orders at a time and sourcing them parts or supplies and If they werent available I would have to outsource and call around local businesses to find them.
