Work History

Assembler

Fairway Holdings
01.2024 - 12.2024

Assembling various in-house manufactured pieces of product,(Booths, benches, etc.) product is usually composed of wood and upholstery.

  • Operated impact drills and screws for product assembly.
  • Verifying if product measures properly to the spec sheet (mock blueprint)using a tape measure.
  • Prepare finished product for inspection and verification.
  • Product is then palletized, cardboard wrapped and prepared in its first step of the shipping process.

The department I worked in usually a two-person job but I was proficient enough in the 4 months working there that I could run the department myself.

My supervisors even complimented me on my ability to learn with tools quickly.

Near the end of my employment, I have obtained exceptional experience of using pneumatic tools and battery powered hand tools. Able to use Torque and Boring drills, as well as varied pneumatic staple guns.

  • I'm able to assemble any forms of wood together and have it measured to spec.
  • Alternatively, assemble any other components upholding to technical specifications and quality standards as well.

Material Handler

Syncreon
05.2018 - 06.2022

I have previously worked at a warehouse for 4 years that was part of a supply chain. They had licenses to hold various autoparts of multiple makes and models. Ford, being their main license and as a result had most of their product in the house. In general the bulk of the product was wiring harnesses.

In the house I worked a department responsible for a step in shipping the materials to a plant of the respective licenser. My department transferred materials from non-returnable receptacles (cardboard boxes) to returnable receptacles, made of plastic top to bottom, even palletized on plastic. I was required to use an RF Gun through the entire process.

Which would involve:

  • Scanning the pallet tag to index the correct tag locks in the system
  • Verify that this pallet is being opened by my department via RF gun
  • All tags on the pallet must be copied 1 by 1 to then place on the returning crates (RF gun)
  • The product is verified for damage and packed into returning crates
  • Every crate gets its own tag as it comes recieved (some exceptions)
  • After packing and palletizing all crates are transferred to a new pallet tag via RF Gun
  • A fork driver takes the pallet to shipping department.

Process is repeated for the majority if not all of the order.

The company that employed me at that warehouse changed hands with another (GEODIS) in February 2022 and I was on onboarded after.
