Accomplishments

  • As a civilian I write children’s books. The last book was created during the historical events, February and March 2022. Many of my partners in creating this book live and work in Ukraine. These daring people did their very best during the most difficult of times. Sometimes we had to pause because the associates were under the thread of being bombed and had to seek shelter. It slowed us down but didn’t stop us!
  • I stay physically fit, hiked Galdhøpiggen, the highest mountain in Norway - 2,469m (8,100 ft) - in July 2019, swum crosscontinentally from Asia to Europe in August 2021, run the New York Marathon in November 2023, and walked Bataan in the White Sands in March 2024.
  • I am determined to become a Major General by 2050, 2AF/CC and change the whole concept of the war theatre and the way we defend and protect our people. My immediate family members died during the war so I know the pain of losing loved ones. This discomfort motivated me to join TAPS (Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors) and became a military mentor for the kids who lost their parents. Last year TAPS answered over 25,623 calls, resolved over 6,397 casework challenges, secured over $3.9 million dollars in retroactive benefits for survivors and connected military survivors with over $215 million dollars in education benefits. Nearly 100,000 military survivors currently receiving support from TAPS.
  • In less than 2 years of service, I have emerged as an exceptional and dedicated member of the Air Force, earning coins, invitations to speak and tell my story, and personal commendations from distinguished leaders such as AFSOC Commander Lt Gen Tony D. Bauernfeind, United States Air Force Chief of Staff Gen David W. Allvin, and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen Mark A. Milley.
