I am deeply passionate about helping individuals with substance abuse, and mental health challenges, a calling rooted in my own personal journey and family history with addiction. Having once been in their shoes, I bring empathy, understanding, and a strong commitment to providing support and guidance that can change lives. I strive to offer the compassion and resources that i was fortunate to receive, as well as the care my Mother never had access to. In addition, I bring a strong background working with people with SUD. I have over 2 1/2 years clean from all mind, and mood altering substances.
I manage a team of Behavioral Health Technicians with day to day intakes, clinical documentation, and deescalating high risk situations. I also train new hires on the proper protocols. We conduct body, and room searches, UA tests, and provide Client services in a way that helps the Client's in their ongoing recovery.
My favorite aspect of being a Behavioral Health Technician is helping the Client's get through tough situations, and give them a listening ear when it comes to their current, and past struggles.
I worked with Client's on their discharge planning, coordinating with halfway houses, and connecting them with other IOP programs. If they had legals i would communicate with PO Officers, giving updates on Client's treatment progress, and attend zoom court hearings. Some Client's had STD benefits, and FMLA which needed to be kept up with via paperwork. I kept the Company census updated, and dealt with approving new admissions, and their placement within our PHP.
I cleaned over 15 stalls per day, grooming and bathing horses, and making sure they were fed and hydrated. I separated horses into groups that behaved well together when letting them out into pastures. I communicated days, and times that the Stable owner had open for lessons with riders that were looking to set up lessons.
