As a Personal Lines Underwriter my job is to provide support, customer service and increase production to agencies while maintaining agency progress and performance within context of company underwriting philosophy and goals. My OH territory ended 2023 with DWP at $24M. New business at $1.8M exceeding the new business goal set at $1.3M. Task lists set for follow up on correspondence from pre-renewals and verification of agency actions. Review home inspections returned that need addressed, including loss control requirements and recommendations. Approval of endorsements and new business policies that fail to meet straight through processing. Negotiate renewal terms with agencies for polices meeting certain negative characteristics, such as loss activity. Work involves clearing and addressing transactions which have not successfully processed through Diamond. COC/Renovation reviews. Completion, evaluation and discussion of large losses greater than $100K. Must respond to risk reports generated from field claims adjusters concerning issues discovered while settling claims. Travel is conducted yearly. Participation in webinars for training new CSR's, producers and agencies. Attending Ohio sales meetings. Trainer for personal lines underwriter training classes in 2022 and 2023. Home basics instructor in 2023.

As a realtor conducting business in Ohio I was required to possess knowledge of homes and the real estate landscape. Understand and adhere to compliance of Ohio real estate laws, including Principles, Practices, Appraisals, Finance and Ethics. Continuing education requirements were required every three years to keep and maintain an active license. Obtaining documents of personal nature, maintaining confidentiality and upholding Fiduciary Duty to clients while writing contracts and utilizing strong negotiating skills was vital to successfully close on real estate transactions, including but not limited to collaborating with other necessary departments, such as lenders, title companies and other real estate agents. Currently my license is not active, but held in escrow through Midwest Referrals and to keep my license in that status, requires 30 hours of continuing education every three years. It is my plan to bring my license back into active status upon retirement for additional retirement income.

This position involved interaction and collaboration with the inside sales force. As a team, monthly, we generated approximately $1.7M in steel sales. Responsible for quoting manufacturers needs, processing information and placing orders using MIS Operating System pertinent to the accounts. Strong organization and time management skills were required in preparation and coordination of my weekly duties and travel itineraries. As part of obtaining new business, I would facilitate the necessary paperwork for new account approval, receiving confidential client information in the form of applications and other necessary paperwork.
