  • Perform head to toe complex and focused assessment; conduct advanced/invasive hemodynamic monitoring and care with A-line, CVC, ICP device, IAP, CO measurement devices, and ventilator

  • Manage and titrate vasoactive, sedative, analgesic, paralytic, antiarrthymic drips as well as PCA/PCEA pumps based on ordered parameters while closely monitoring responses and adverse effects; initiate, maintain and monitor for Normothermia therapy (Artic Sun) and CRRT
  • Deliver quality care and ensure patient safety while utilizing critical thinking, clinical judgment and CC knowledge in participation of resuscitating and monitoring complicated taruma (Level I trauma center), immediate post-op unstable surgical patients, as well as populations managed non-operatively or experiencing complications post-op
  • Ensure recovery and reduce surgical complications through careful post-op monitoring, timely and early intervention, pain and wound management and coaching for functional recovery
  • Actively contribute to formation and execution of comprehensive and individualized plan of care by participating in multi-disciplinary rounding and effectively communicating to providers of clinical changes, responses to therapies and concerns by incorporating VS/IO/labs/assessment data
  • Provided emotional support to patients and families during critical situations, fostering rapport, trust and open communication throughout their ICU stay to advocate for patient's best interests, dignity, comfort and ease of suffering

  • As preceptor, train and supervise newer nurses for proper techniques, procedures, standards of care, and safety protocols
  • As charge nurse, collaborate with providers and fellow nurses in prioritizing and arranging new admissions, expediting escalation of care, and making safe staffing assignments
