  • I create and execute multi-faceted communications in four key areas: public relations, crisis communications, internal communications and executive communications.
  • Within those core areas, I focus on: crisis response, employee issues, behavioral health, public health, labor/union efforts, government affairs, litigation, and safety in the workplace.
  • In addition, I provide strategic counsel and creation on all public relations, crisis communications and executive communications for Oregon's only psychiatric emergency hospital, Unity Center for Behavioral Health.
  • I serve as a 24/7 public information officer for the Legacy Health system on a monthly basis.
  • I provide strategic, effective and timely communications guidance for the C-suite, presidents and vice presidents across the corporation.
  • I also provide media training and talking points/strategy for leadership and execute on proactive and reactive media relations efforts with local and national press.

Achievements of Note

  • Led the internal and external communications around a new substance use disorder service inside Unity Center for Behavioral Health. The lifesaving service is critical for Portland as it continues to grapple with a fentanyl crisis. Landed proactive and positive print and broadcast coverage in the Oregonian, Portland Business Journal, KOIN, KGW and KATU.
  • Currently leading the communications strategy around a lawsuit, now in its third year, against the state of Oregon that seeks to improve the state's behavioral healthcare system by providing proper care for those with severe mental illness.
  • Worked with national PBS producers on a news segment that educated viewers around the adolescent mental health crisis in the United States. Piece aired in January of 2023.

  • Led a talented communications team in building effective and informative messaging for the association's 100-plus credit unions and their millions of members across Idaho, Oregon and Washington.
  • Focused on executive and B2B communications, led weekly creation of an industry trade publication, created effective and timely collateral for the association's advocacy officers, and built awareness around the association's foundation.
  • Crafted C-suite communications, including speeches, video scripts, weekly executive legislative updates, presentations, and talking points.


Achievements of Note

  • Played an essential role in the operational launch and communications of a multi-year campaign around the Community Impact Reporting Tool. The association-created software system collected credit unions' community impact data, which was transformed into powerful messaging collateral, including videos, stories, customized data one-pagers, press releases, Op-Eds, legislative advocacy tools, and more. The collateral was instrumental in lobbying for the industry and building consumer awareness.
  • Led communications for the Northwest Credit Union Foundation as it launched a new multi-million-dollar grant program focused on several initiatives, including affordable housing, COVID relief funds for agricultural workers, wildfire disaster relief, and other programs.
