I have provided childcare for this family, and watch them grow from a family of one child to a family of three children. I have taken care of them at their house as well as my own house. I run errands and help with getting them to events and from events. I also watch them while their mother coaches two high school volleyball teams.
Babysat in their home and took their daughter to practices and any place their parents needed.
I watched two elementary age children in their home early in the morning until their mother arrived home from work around 5:00 pm through the summer of 2019.
I was able to babysit multiple children for the Gayheart family. Most of the time I watched three or less of their children. I come from a family of four children and usually babysit more than one child at a time.

In addition to attending school full time, I am a cheerleader at the University of Alabama where time management has been imperative. With such rigorous physical demands, many days start off with 5:00 am workouts and a full time school load and anywhere from one to two practices in a day. Game days are filled with activities and special appearances as well as cheering on various teams like football, basketball, gymnastics, and volleyball.
My first year of college was during Covid and I attended Eastern Kentucky University where I cheered and competed at the D1 level in Orlando, FL. We won runner up to the national title that year. I received academic recognition for maintaining a 4.0 and was named to the dean’s list both semesters.
Not giving up on my dream of cheering at Alabama, I later was able to attend “in person” tryouts (as COVID restrictions had lessened) and I ultimately made the team. I transferred starting my sophomore year and have gone through the cheerleading tryout process every year since. While cheering at the University of Alabama, I received the Academic Achievement Award all three years. Being a student athlete has been one of the greatest joys of my life. The work ethic I was taught at Pikeville High school prepared me for the life I would later come to know at UA.
I have learned that it takes hard work, dependability, a strong work ethic, and a coachable mentality in order to accomplish goals in life. My hope is to always apply these same strategies and reach my goal of one day becoming a Physician Assistant.
