  • Working with a 501(c)(3) established in 2004 for the sole purpose of reopening the last remaining community theater in the state of Hawaii. Queen Theatre was built in 1936 and closed its doors in 1985. Program Director for Friends of Queen Theatre working with the owners of Queen Theatre, the local government, the Kaimuki Community Board, the Kaimuki Professional Business Bureau, local businesses, the Hawaii Department of Education, and stakeholders to revitalize the theatre. The purpose is to provide a much-needed theater that will serve the community and students interested in performing arts. Has created a solid scope of work and a budget that supports the renovation and staff needed to re-open the theater and become sustainable
  • Hawai'i Partnership Manager for ChallengeU, a high school dropout recovery program reconnecting students with graduation coaches and wrap-around services when needed in order to help them graduate and continue to a college or career
  • Designed and launched a statewide scaling up of the middle school Connecting for Success program by working directly with the Hawaii Department of Education, The Hawai'i Community Foundation, and stakeholders. Best practices learned from the grant project were replicated and continued
  • As a consultant to the Hawai'i Department of Education's Principal in Residence, planned agendas and logistics for all Hawai'i middle and high school principal meetings that focused on college and career readiness
