I am Elizabeth Gilbert, a marketing student at Emerson College. I am very passionate about business/marketing, and I am always striving to better myself. To be constantly learning is very important to me. I have a very strong work ethic and communication skills. I am striving to use these skills to better grow my understanding of the marketing field and any other responsibilities I may face.
My past work experiences have helped to enhance my ability to be a hard and reliable worker.
At Horizon Mass, which is an investigative journalism company based in Boston, I helped push and boost their social media by posting their new stories and making sure they stayed active on socials.
As a KAB retail sales associate, I am able to provide a positive experience for each customer specific to their needs. I work to support the team in meeting monthly sales goals via cross-selling and up-selling. I work to maintain the store’s appearance/ aesthetic by straightening, cleaning, replacing signage, etc. I work to assist with retail projects as assigned and support all areas within the store. I am able to communicate consistently and clearly with the retail team, shift leads, managers, and other departments if necessary.
As an access screener, I provided a full range of support services that included welcoming and screening patients, visitors, and employees to all DH facilities. I provided general information to hospital/clinic visitors. I welcomed and directed patients and monitored my assigned area(s) for security and housekeeping needs. My responsibilities also included escorting patients to various locations and explaining the current visitation policies.
I was responsible for various tasks that included: making coffee, taking orders, slicing bread, and boxing pastries. Other tasks included working the expo counter which consisted of plating food and paging the customer when their food was ready. King Arthur cafe was a very fast-paced work environment, and all of us employees helped create a positive uplifting atmosphere.
