Activities

Passion for creating and teaching art. Previous volunteering experiences at library, church, festivals, and schools to assist in programs for kids. I enjoy working with kids who can surprise me with their creative process. I love to volunteer and help organize events that helps bring art into a community. I have had the honor of winning a Visual Art Award at Walters State for my work in ceramics in 2011. My art also has been featured in Honor Shows at East Tennessee State University, as well as my own personal show “Thrive” in Dec 2014 with an encore showing at the Tipton Gallery in Jan 2015. I was a nominee for the Windgate fellowship in 2014 which is a grant and fellowship for upcoming artist. I am currently working on the PACE Alternative Teaching to fulfill a lifelong dream to become a certified teacher. I have received my Statement of Eligibility.
