  • I worked several departments in my 7 years at the Heart Institute. For the first year I was a medical assistant to one of the cardiologists. When he moved I started working in the stress test department. We did nuclear and treadmill stress tests. I then started working in the pacemaker/icd clinic. In this depart. I was in charge of 875 patients with icd/pacemaker devices. I would check the batteries of the pacemakers by phone, or in clinic with the reps and doctors, would schedule appts with doctors if batteries on devices needed to be changed. I also was in charge of applying 24/72 heart monitors and analyzing the reports.
