  • I work with the StarRez program very closely and have been self-taught in the program; their knowledge base is wonderful and very helpful while trying to navigate the issues that arise.
  • My StarRez work includes: Creating and producing reports to make sure that our accounting, marketing, and leasing departments have accurate information; Making sure that our entries' accounts are correct so that they are charged correctly and that reports that are needed run correct; Building, maintaining, and setting up the inspection runs for each individual room for the administration needs and another one for the RAs for the end of semester information (a specific module in StarRez) and the maintenance module; Starting up the application set-up which involves configuring the process graphs and updating the correct reports; Making sure that every entry has the correct information, all of the correct boxes check and that they are ready to go when they need to be activated.
  • StarRez is a wonderful program, I have worked through multiple issues in every field that I have come across, such as figuring out (in a timely manner) what is 'broken.' My biggest task in the areas of reports, accounts, and billing has been troubleshooting issues that occur with individual accounts. Identified numerous common issues within system and outlined methods to rectify those errors.
  • Working with AxTrax for a Key Fob and Door software - this program keeps track of everyone that enters and exists the building, which involves inputting each fob into the system for each person. This is a version supplied by Dave & Harry's which has been used for years.
  • Maintaining and keeping up with the updates and maintenance of the POS and reports for all of the foodservice section, including contracts and licensing, and utilizing Square POS as a tracking device for the UIUC Athletics department for usage not only within each department, but also for each user.
  • Utilizing NEC, the phone system software provided by Gibson Teldata, for most programming needs, such as switching extensions, adding/deleting call forwarding, and any other internal phone programming needs.
  • Monitoring software subscriptions such as website SEO, domain services, and Adobe/Microsoft licenses, organized every six months or yearly to ensure cost-effective management of technical resources..
  • Working with Canva, PowerPoint, Adobe, and Word to create marketing content for internal retention, catering, and external promotion for the dorm.

  • My biggest accomplishment was successfully organizing the delivery of 1,500 pies in 8 different locations within 1 hour of Urbana, including 2 shipping trucks and a truck that was refrigerated, in 3 days. Creating intuitive directions for all of the deliveries given the delivery times that were available for all of the delivery times given by each location.
