How do I get to the place I want to be?

  • Right now , I'm focused on completing my prerequisites for nursing school, and I plan to apply to the nursing program as soon as I'm eligible. I'm staying committed to my studies and maintaining strong grades to ensure I'm well prepared.

What is one thing that you know about yourself that you can improve?

  • One area I am working to improve is managing test anxiety. I tend to second-guess myself, especially on exams. To address this, I've been practicing relaxation techniques, taking more time to practice test, and using active recall strategies to build my confidence and accuracy.

What is one thing that you admire about another person that you would like to incorporate into yourself?

  • I really admire a friend of mine who walks into every room with confidence and speaks up without hesitation. She trusts her voice and instincts. That's something I want to develop more in myself, especially as I prepared to advocate for patients in nursing.

Why are you interested in some things and not others? Where do you see yourself/flow the most?

I've always been drawn to caring for others-it just feels natural to me. I'm not as interested in things that feel disconnected or routine, but when I'm helping someone, comforting them, or learning how to make a difference in their life, I feel completely present. That's where I feel most myself and that's when I know I'm in the right place. That's why am so passionate about becoming a nurse.
