Enterprise Infrastructure Manager

  • Responsible for all planning, recommendation, implementation and management of enterprise computer systems infrastructure. The primary objectives are to:
  • Leverage available technology to provide smooth operation and maximum uptime
  • Provide a stable systems environment with acceptable response times
  • Protect corporate data
  • Deploy, support and maintain user hardware and devices that meet business requirements and ensure employee productivity
  • Evaluate risks and plan for possible disasters
  • Leads and manages the IT technical team, ensuring maximum effectiveness of each team member. Provide staff training and development, mentoring, and meaningful, periodic performance evaluation.
  • Responsible for the design, installation, support and maintenance of all corporate computer hardware, including physical and virtual servers, network and wireless equipment, desktop, security and mobile devices, telecommunications equipment, etc. Also responsible for operating systems, network management tools, employee productivity tools, etc.
  • Under the direction of management and in accordance with business needs and strategies, assess technology needs and opportunities, research and/or design potential solutions, and recommend and justify appropriate infrastructure projects.
  • Communicate with staff to ensure a high level of coordination and cooperation on assigned projects. Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors progress for infrastructure projects and support. Develops and executes project plans and assigns staff to configure, test and complete tasks and deliverables according to schedule.
  • Coordinate and manage system deployments and upgrades to minimize business downtime and ensure successful implementations. Provide regular, informative updates to management, stakeholders and system users to prevent confusion and set expectations.
  • Design, document, implement and maintain standardized, cost-effective, best practice enterprise-wide computer infrastructure with, where feasible, redundancy, room for growth and emergency planning.
  • Design, document, implement and maintain infrastructure architecture and policies to protect the confidentiality and availability of corporate data and systems. Communicate and enforce security protocols for all systems, devices and employees, including effective e-mail filtering and virus prevention solutions.
  • Monitor network and system activities and proactively address identified anomalies.
  • Track and manage corporate software licenses, ensuring compliance with vendor contracts and applicable laws.
  • Track and manage all corporate computer hardware. Coordinate with Human Resources and management as needed during employee onboarding and termination activities to ensure appropriate and timely deployment and retrieval of corporate equipment.
  • Manage vendor hardware and contractor relationships, including reviewing and negotiating contracts, holding vendors accountable to their service level agreements, and reviewing and approving invoices.
  • Prepare and submit an expense budget, manage and track infrastructure and other department expenditures and provide explanation for significant variances.

2017 - 2022 Network Engineer I, II, and III

  • Designs, configures, installs, and supports all network, security, and voice equipment for the Company. This equipment includes, but is not limited to, network switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, wireless access points, wireless controllers, and VoIP equipment.
  • Responsible for updating the Company Firewalls. And creating and maintaining firewall rules, proxy settings, Virtual Private Networks (SSL & IPSec).
  • Oversees installation of voice, data, and Internet circuits and coordinates circuit problem resolution.
  • Recommends and participates in contract negotiations with service vendors.
  • Responsible for the design and ongoing maintenance/upkeep of network closets throughout the Company.
  • Recommends, facilitates, schedules, and participates in security vulnerability assessments and penetration tests, working with external security contractors, as necessary.
  • Has primary Project Management responsibility for new site network infrastructure setups for the Company. With limited oversite, architects LAN, WAN, and WLAN infrastructure at new facilities to provide required customer connectivity to on-plant and off-plant resources.
  • Coordinates, schedules, and oversees vendors and contractors performing infrastructure installation and upgrades.
  • Monitors and manages network performance and provides metrics to management, as necessary. *Monitors and reports on network utilization, bottlenecks, and upgrade projections.

  • Administer, install, support, and maintain servers, network and telecom infrastructure.
