Primary responsibilities included conducting District level CSEs to create and support the individualized educational needs of our students. Supporting the special education and district initiatives set forth by the Assistant Superintendent of Special Services. Liaising as a district representative for out of district and out of NYS educational placements. Providing professional development and support to special education teachers and case managers throughout the school year. This included updating training and support with regard to district and NYS policies and procedures. Serving as a member of the Assistant Superintendent's immediate staff providing insight and support on the elementary school level, as well as assisting with NYS indicator reviews and plans.
