Cardiac Critical Care Unit. Consisted of 4-5 patient ratio.

• Tele/COVID floor. Became a wide range of patients of different specialities. Floated to stepdown ICU, BioMed, and other floors if necessary.
• Delivered comprehensive patient care across diverse healthcare settings, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and best practices.

Pulmonary/Pulmonary Acute floor. Working with patients not only within the pulmonary floor, but as well as a wide range of patients d/t COVID. Pulmonary acute consisted of vented/trach patients with up to two patients in an acute setting.

• Shadowed and assisted as a student nurse with patients in pediatrics including PICU/Pediatric Oncology. By the end of internship, my preceptor was supervising me with my own four-patient workload.

• Direct patient care technician, as well as transporting patients throughout radiology department.

• Assist an elderly lady with morning activities such as getting up, going to the bathroom, cleaning up, making breakfast and coffee, preparing lunch, putting ointment on wounds, as well as visiting with her.

• Organize and collect histories (paper documents) and check people into the clinic
• Triage, assessment, and assist in lab and collecting blood samples. We also walked to surrounding communities, requiring Spanish as the primary language I spoke with patients, to administer vaccines, wellness checks.

• Assist students in learning abilities in the classroom and life skills in the community for the pediatric population with different disabilities ranging from acute medical disabilities to behavioral.
• Implementing PCP procedures for the safety of ourselves and the individual.
• Facilitated classroom management, promoting a positive learning environment and student engagement.
