Recruited to this practice because of a good reputation in the community. This is a very busy, growing practice. I established many new patients every day as well as completing medicare wellness exams and seeing walk in and routine follow up patients. Minimal well woman and procedural appointments at this time.EMR - eClinical Works
EMR- Practice Fusion. Initiated the use of new EMR for practice-wide use. Previously paper charting was exclusive to this office.Skills: Continued to build on the skills performed previously at Warren Family Practice. The skills I used less than before are surgical procedures and pelvic exams mostly due to the internal medicine base practice I am working out of. Limited supplies and tools for these procedures.
During my time at Warren Family Practice I was able to achieve my final advance practicum for nurse practitioner school. The practicum resulted in the practice retaining me as a provider once my education was completed. I was carefully mentored and trained as a student under the direction of a competent D.O. which I feel led to increased confidence in my skills once I was working independently. I have had ongoing training in new skills throughout my time there.Examined up to 21 patients per day with various medical instruments and equipment.Carefully analyzed test results and information gathered during examinations to properly diagnose illnesses and diseases. Vaccinated patients against various communicable diseases. Regularly referred patients to medical specialists or other practitioners for more specialized courses of treatment. Closely examined patients’ medical history, medication allergies, physical condition and test results to verify necessity of operations and to determine proper procedures. Thoroughly assessed patients to determine medical condition and level of surgical risk. Patiently explained prescribed procedures and discussed test results with patients and their families. Strictly maintained the confidentiality of patients, families, colleagues and any sensitive situations. Discussed various treatment options extensively with patients and families. Rapidly assessed and responded to medical emergencies. Maintained accurate medical records and documented patient case history in detail.
