Work History
College Ministry Intern
9 Months- During my time at Citylight South church I was working alongside a genuine and ambitious staff team to see the Gospel touch lives! My specific job was in the college realm. I worked alongside another college ministry staff member to minister and grow the college ministry on Doane University's campus. Our mission statement that we followed was "to see all students at Doane and beyond discover and deepen a relationship with Jesus Christ."
- Identified and addressed a significant need for discipleship among women at Doane University, ensuring they received the same level of support as male students.
- Coordinated group and one-on-one discipleship sessions alongside organizing monthly ministry gatherings (Citylight U), fostering community and spiritual growth.
- On a week-to-week basis, my job had two major elements: group and one-on-one discipleship as well as the organization of our monthly ministry gatherings (Citylight U).
- Embraced the opportunity to serve college students, fulfilling a calling to guide them in their spiritual journeys.
- As I reflect, it is very clear to me why I went through specific trials in college. I know The Lord wanted me to be able to relate and point other ladies to the healing and redeeming power of Jesus Christ, the same way I experienced it.
Summer Intern
2 Months- Supported ministry operations across children’s, worship, and administration areas to build skills and confidence in serving roles. Assisted in service preparation during a key Sunday as the sole staff member present, facilitating smooth operations. Developed initiative and trust within serving teams to ensure continuity of church services.
- Assisted with planning and executing community outreach events to engage church members.
- Developed promotional materials for church activities, enhancing awareness and participation.
- Coordinated volunteer schedules, ensuring adequate support for various programs and services.
Youth Intern
1 Year 2 Months- Served two consecutive summers as Youth Intern for Eastside Youth Group in Colorado Springs, gaining valuable ministry experience and cherishing time spent with youth.
- My job included working closely with the Youth Minister to plan teaching content and events for middle and high school students throughout the summer.
- I would plan devotionals and lead them by myself on occasional Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings. My main objective was to spend time with female students to get to know them and be a mentor to them. I offered counsel and wisdom for their lives and served as a big sister. Someone who wanted to see them step into their full identities in Jesus Christ.
- Developed summer-long curriculum centered on identity theme, addressing pressures faced by youth and fostering a desire to minister by providing Godly wisdom and perspective during challenging times.
