- At Home I cared for many disabled, sick, elderly, aggressive, or abandoned animals, primarily cats and dogs. I worked primarily outdoors despite weather conditions. This included administering various forms of medication, treating wounds, lifting large paraplegic dogs into their wheelchair-carts, physically expressing cats and dogs needing assistance in urination and defecation, feeding, grooming, and other duties involving animal care. Additionally, I had the opportunity to assist the veterinarian who visited the sanctuary bi-weekly, and help her conduct blood samples, ear swabs, and intake animal data.
