I am currently an undergraduate researcher at UCSD with a passion for Bioengineering Research and Development, especially in Protein Engineering, Natural Products, Synthetic Biology, and Immunology. Prior to getting my Ph.D. in Bioengineering, I hope to explore more research and development wet lab opportunities. My professional aspirations are to continue my career in Bioengineering research.

  • Perform research under the supervision of Dr Yo Suzuki at the John Craig Venter Institute.
  • Facilitate a project where synthetic biology is used to develop an artificial organism capable of efficient carbon fixation as compared to other natural and synthetically designed pathways.
  • Our goal is to integrate the POAP cycle into the JCVI Syn 3.0B minimal cell as a potential method of carbon sequestration.

  • Assist faculty members with research assignments on enzyme engineering projects.
  • Conduct research pertaining to biocatalytic application of enzymes for the development of new therapeutics.
