As a lifeguard, I learned and maintained proficiency in first responder skills such as First Aid and CPR to offer individuals in distress optimal support. I ensured swimmer safety by vigilantly monitoring the pool area and enforcing the rules. I provided friendly customer service to guests and addressed their concerns whenever needed. I helped to maintain a clean and safe facility, performing necessary cleaning tasks on a daily basis.

While working as a lifeguard, I also became a swim instructor aid. I would assist in teaching daily swim instruction to students of varying ages and skill levels. I helped to promote a fun learning environment through engaging activities and games designed to reinforce essential swimming skills. I helped to improve swimmer confidence and ease fears by providing consistent positive reinforcement and constructive feedback, which all helped enhance students' swimming abilities.

The Community Learning Center (CLC) is a comprehensive after-school program designed to support elementary-aged students in their academic and personal growth. In my role as a tutor, I assisted students with their homework, ensuring they understood and completed their assignments effectively. Additionally, I would introduce them to new material, broadening their knowledge and preparing them for future lessons.

Beyond academic support, I actively participated in organizing and facilitating class activities. These activities included a wide range of engaging projects such as art projects, cooking sessions, physical activities, and large group games. By providing a diverse array of activities, I helped students develop their creativity, teamwork, and physical skills, all while fostering a fun and inclusive environment.

As a waitress, I handle high-pressure situations with composure, maintaining excellent service standards, even during busy shifts. I exhibit strong multitasking abilities, balancing multiple tables and orders while delivering prompt service. I help to maintain a clean and welcoming dining environment, ensuring a positive guest experience. I remain calm and poised when dealing with difficult or unhappy customers and during busy shifts. I support a teamwork atmosphere among staff members through clear communication and collaboration during shifts, ensuring efficient service during peak hours.

As a paraprofessional substitute I help to improve classroom management by consistently reinforcing rules and maintaining a structured environment. I help to assist lead teachers in both general education and special education settings in preparing materials for instructional use. I contribute to a safe learning environment, monitoring students during non-instructional times and addressing any concerns or issues promptly. I assist in the implementation of behavior management strategies, reducing distractions and fostering a positive learning atmosphere. I provide one-on-one tutoring, enabling struggling students to improve their understanding of course content, as well as providing open communication and active listening to help strengthen student-teacher relationships.
