• Collaborating and communicating with students to study for tests, grammar concepts, and overall gaining a better understanding
• Asking questions, assessing and quick thinking that is dynamic and adjustable in order to make the best course action to reach our common goals
• Having a positive and approachable disposition to create an inviting environment that will support and encourage students to share their struggles and goals with me
• Maintaining a clean and organized environment for other tutors and their tutees, i.e. cleaning white boards and tables, pushing in chairs to keep the space accessible for all
• Helping to motivate students and build their self-confidence in their abilities

• Interpersonal communication. Getting to know students for who they are and how they are. Building more personal relationships beyond simply work

My research project was on the culture of menstruation and how it is part of the greater feminist movement in Spain. [project link provided upon request through email]

• Investigating and analyzing various angles (history, personal experiences, education, and government) to create a comprehensive and multi-faceted project on the culture in Spain
• Extensive reading in Spanish of newspaper articles and scholarly journal articles
• Writing in Spanish on the digital platform Microsoft Sway to convey my findings and conclusions
• Speaking in Spanish professionally as a researcher and conversationally with the locals in shops and in the streets
• Creative use of language in order to convey ideas in a non-native language of mine
• Adaptability and open-mindedness to different cultures and people
