• MELROSE PUBLIC SCHOOLS, Melrose, MA, 03/2023 - 05/2023, Observed and implemented individual treatment sessions for a caseload of 35 students between two K-5 schools in the Melrose Public school District. Diagnoses included developmental delay, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, ASD, ADD and ADHD.Independently completed all electronic documentation such as daily and weekly progress notes.Actively collaborated with OTR, classroom teachers, SPED Coordinators, and other developmental specialists, within the school system, to work on goal-oriented skills in different contexts for a child.Observed initial and follow-up assessments including the DTVP-3, the Battelle Developmental Inventory, Social/Emotional Questionnaire, and the Sensory Profile, as well as all required written documentation for treatment notes and goals under the supervision of OTR/L.Developed and initiated interventions, some based on previous teaching, for students to strengthen social/emotional skills, visual perception/scanning skills, handwriting mechanics, gross motor/fine motor skills.Coordinated and implemented a social skills solution strategy for a cognitively delayed child, based on early education experience, which became a standardized tool for similar students.Attended and participated in IEP meetings for children which resulted in modifications and adjustment of student goals.
• TEWKSBURY HOSPITAL, Tewksbury, MA, 01/2023 - 02/2023, Lead and co-lead groups in the areas of meal preparation, health & wellness, conflict management, stress management and independent living skills.Developed therapeutic rapport and relationships with patients and interdisciplinary staff.Attended, documented and distributed morning meeting communications regarding patient updates.Documented both patient participation in groups as well as daily/weekly notes.Created and presented a clinical overview on a one-to-one patient from my caseload.Presented an evidenced based article to OTRs, and lead a discussion group, on the topic of boredom within inpatient mental health settings.
