  • Identified groups for Literacy Enrichment 6-8
  • Worked closely with a Northwestern Professor and co-taught with graduate students a 3 year Engineering and COmputer Science curriculum to advanced science students.

  • Created and Implemented the new Advancing Inquiry and Meaning Program rooted in more equitable access to advanced programming.

At all grades:

  • Served on district learning teams to help create and then implemented many iterations of our gifted program. Most recently helped implement a more inclusive gifted program in grades K-5 allowing for more equitable access to advanced programming and an opportunity to foster curiosity for all.
  • Created and implemented original lessons for advanced learners in all subjects K-8 using real world application of standards, higher order questioning and creativity.
  • Developed individualized learning plans for Tier 3 gifted students.
  • Worked closely will all staff members to help promote a change in how we think about the needs of advanced learners and how to make sure we are providing equitable access to gifted programming.
  • Attended PD and worked with the special servies team to help support twice exceptional learners.
  • Used data (performance assessments, standardized tests, and informal observations) to inform instruction and provide meaningful feedback to students and teachers.
  • Mentored new teachers and helped coach, support and bring positivity to enhance the overall school climate.
