Emerson 3: Geriatric/Behavioral Health Unit.

• Assists in patient care throughout nursing areas, and is responsible for safe transport of patients and appropriate documentation (EPIC) of services rendered.
• Functions as an Observer for any patient on a patient care unit who has been assessed to require constant observation to maximize his/her safety.
• Performs general receptionist and clerical duties to facilitate efficient functioning of nursing unit.
• Needs to understand patient's condition to ensure their care and safety.
• Patient toileting, care, vital signs, and documentation.
• Collaborative care with patient, family, and healthcare treatment team.

Ambulatory Surgical Services: PreOp, Operating Room, PACU.

• Perioperative Assistant assists with both adult and pediatric patient care such as positioning, transferring anesthetized patients, supporting limbs during surgical prep, and other duties according to established guidelines.
• Responsible for post-surgery operating room turnover: wiping down and sterilization of equipment/hard surfaces and mopping floors for removal of bodily fluids and debris.
• Tracking equipment sent out for repair, stocking and maintaining supplies other duties as requested by nursing staff.
• Working closely with surgical staff and surgical equipment.

• Responsible for safe transport of patients, dispatch services, and appropriate documentation of services.
• Under the direction of the Manager/Environmental Services & Dispatch, the dispatch attendant will function within the guidelines of South Shore Health & Educational Corporation's policies and procedures.
• Safe transport of patients via wheelchair or stretcher throughout hospital to all units.
