I am an avid researcher with an interest in Oncology. My paper on Biomarkers in Endometrial and Ovarian Carcinomas has now been sent for review by the American Journal of Clinical Pathology. I recently presented my research at the NEAGO 2024 conference this summer and the abstract has been published on their website. I was also given the opportunity to present the tumor board this summer at New York Oncology and Hematology's Spring to Life conference.
I am now working at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine on a project pertaining to HIV's entry into the nucleus. I have also begun a project on the average time to diagnosis of ovarian cancer. The project is in conjunction with Vassar Brothers Medical Center Department of Gynecological Oncology and is pending IRB approval.
Through my work as a laboratory assistant and as a student assistant in undergrad I have learned many academic skills as well as gained laboratory experience I hope to one day use in the medical field. I held positions on the board for multiple clubs at Binghamton University and worked as a TA for many science courses.
