As a transmasc individual, my own journey has taught me exactly what it means to look for community, face barriers, and figure out how to navigate complex systems. Going through that didn't just give me deep empathy for others—it sparked a genuine passion for supporting people and making sure they actually get the resources they need to thrive. I’m looking to step into this Community Resources Internship to get my foot in the door of this field, gaining the hands-on, real-world experience I need before I head back to school for my Master of Social Work (MSW).
I know I can bring a unique perspective, practical skills, and an authentic, lived empathy to your team. Because I understand firsthand how life-changing clear resource navigation can be, I know how to meet people where they are and build quick trust. I am excited to show up, do the work, and add value to your team from day one—but I'm equally excited to learn from you all, absorb everything I can, and grow into the kind of social worker our communities need.
