This chronically understaffed Bojangles taught me how to work a small kitchen by myself. My main responsibilities were to prepare all the ingredients, cook the food, maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, and filter the fryers with the filtering machine. I worked with a wide array of coworkers who were very different from one another and I would like to emphasize how I prioritized maintaining a clean work environment.

Methodically packed a box truck with heavy furniture and home items, ensuring safe transport. Also learned excellent customer service skills when dealing with clients and their valuables. Worked with a crew of one to three other crew members depending on the specific job, accomplishing moving jobs for families and individuals that were often long distance. Maintained strict attendance and accountability standards to ensure job completion and quality. Developed skill in working efficiently for the sake of the client.

Reinforced stables to ensure safety and longevity. Performed landscaping tasks, including planting, mowing, and weed whacking to maintain property aesthetics. Operated heavy machinery. Primarily used tractors for various construction tasks and transporting dirty shavings. Mucked stalls, which means to shovel out dirty shavings from horse stalls. Assisted in horse care by rotating them out of pastures to ensure their well-being during staff shortages. Occasional commercial painting with paint rollers, brushes, tape, etc... Learned how to work well with my hands.

I realize it is slightly ridiculous to add Doordash to my resume but personally it would feel disingenuous on my part to not add it. It has served me well in this period of transition from living in Boone NC to moving to Asheville NC. I am able to use it as a good enough income source and the hours are as flexible as can be.
