I am a Boise, ID native and have spent 37 years here. I began my commercial appraisal career after working with a family member in residential appraising. I was trained under one of the most respected commercial appraiser's in Idaho. After spending a couple years as a trainee and learning the trade, I was subsequently licensed and hired by two national firms. I received my Certified General Appraisal license in October through Idaho and have begun my MAI designation with the Appraisal Institute with planned completion by early to mid 2025. I have spent the last few years developing key relationships with active brokers and participants in the area and am comfortable in the entire report development process.
I was hired to lead the company's initiative in Idaho. My responsibilities include everything from client engagement, bidding, and the entire report development from inspection to submission.
I worked on a national team that specialized in the valuation of Manufactured Housing Communities across the country, including some Multi-Family assets. My job responsibilities included entire report development from engagement to submission (including site inspection when applicable).
I started my Commercial Appraisal experience with a local shop in Boise, ID and worked under a local MAI who has been in the Idaho market for 35 years. I was given responsibility fairly quickly for entire report development. In addition, I learned the importance of community relationships with other active participants including brokers, bankers, developers and city officials. While training with Mr. Langston, I developed advanced appraisal skills fairly quickly including DCF and advanced income analysis, market research, special purpose properties and other advanced appraisal techniques.
